Chicago, IL.- The Lake Michigan Admirals set sail Sunday night to the
other side of the lake to take on the #6 team in the ABA the Chicago
Steam. The crowd of approximately 200 got to see professional basketball
at it's best. The Chicago Steam came out of the gates with a 22-20 first
quarter lead only to take back seat to a well determined Admirals team
that out scored the Steam 25-17 in the second quarter to go into the half
with a 45-39 lead. "Can two teams be any better matched than these two
teams here tonight?" , questioned Bridget Prince, part owner of the
Admirals. She was right on the mark. The score was 71-70 after three
quarters and the fans were on their feet. Finally the Admirals took
control and created a nine point lead with 2:59 left in the game only to
let it slip away to Chicago lead by Roy Pauron's game high 28 points.
Their were three Admirals with a double-double Antonio Griffin had 20
points and 10 rebounds to lead all scores for the Admirals. Dominick
Melton had 13 points and 16 rebounds and Odgra Bobo had 13 points with 18
rebounds. Final score Chicago Steam 105- Lake Michigan 98.
